Meet Scott

Born Scott Wayne Bates in Stockton, Kansas and raised in both California and Washington, Scott is a multi-faceted individual with many artistic passions, including sculpting, painting, writing and composing music. He plays guitar, keyboards, flute & saxophone and enjoys performing his original compositions.

Scott is a serious environmentalist, which is reflected in the music he writes. He enjoys walking through mountainous wooded areas and he finds solitude on a lonely, deserted stretch of sandy beach.

He was a medic in the Navy during the Viet Nam war and has never lost the desire to ease suffering of the world. His favorite projects involve animals, and he is especially fond of his blonde Cocker Spaniel named ‘Buddy’.

His three favorite pastimes are swimming, traveling and chatting on the internet. He used to prefer swimming in the ocean, until he saw the movie JAWS, and now he prefers the safety of swimming pools and lakes. Scott loves to visit places he has never been before and he has traveled throughout most of this country. He has been north to Canada and as far south as Honduras. Which leads to chatting; Scott loves to meet new people. You can Email him at: Scottim12@yahoo.com.

Scott considers the two most beautiful songs ever written to be “Oh, beautiful” and “Claire de lune.”

The things in his life that Scott regrets he never got to do include skydiving, bungee jumping, kayaking down a river and seeing Pink Floyd in concert.
